Storm Darragh devastates the UK and Ireland

Strong winds from Storm Darragh down trees, damage cars and leave streets covered in debris in Cardiff, Wales, UK.
 The local government has already issued a weather alert, warning the population.
More than 170,000 UK homes without power; man killed by falling tree.

In Ireland emergency crews are working to restore power to more than 100,000 homes and businesses without power following Storm Darragh while local authorities clear roads of downed trees and debris.

Nearly 175,000 customers are without power in the Republic, while 46,000 homes and businesses are without power in Northern Ireland.

Darragh, the fourth named storm of the season, is also expected to bring heavy rain through the weekend, with more than 100 flood warnings and alerts in place across the UK.
