Historic massive flooding in France:
The red alert for floods and rain-flooding was lifted for the six departments concerned, this Friday, October 18, early in the morning, by the weather forecasting organization Météo France.
Ardèche, Haute-Loire, Loire, Rhône, Lozère and Alpes-Maritimes were placed on red alert this Thursday, October 17 due to “exceptional precipitation”.
This Friday morning, however, 18 departments remain on orange alert, the majority of which are in the south of France.
