Forest fires cannot be brought under control in Turkey, 16 houses have been burned

About 3 thousand people are fighting forest fires in Izmir, Turkey.

Strong winds are complicating the fight against forest fires that broke out in the resort town of Izmir in western Turkey. TRT Haber reports this.

According to the TV channel, the fire has already reached residential areas. Fires are being fought with the help of aviation and ground equipment.

As Fahrettin Altun, head of the communications department of the Turkish Presidential Administration, clarifies, firefighters are now trying to bring 27 fires under control.
