Australian meteorologists recorded the highest winter temperature in the country's history, reports the local weather portal Weather Zone.
"A weather station located in Yampi Sound, in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, recorded the temperature of 41.6 degrees Celsius shortly after 3:30 p.m. [GMT+8] on Monday, August 26," it says. the portal.
Australia is located in the southern hemisphere, therefore, the seasons there are like this: winter is from June to August, spring is from September to November, summer lasts from December to February, and autumn - from March to May.
