The Russian cargo ship Progress MC-24 took the ISS away from a collision with space debris, Roscosmos reported on the department’s telegram channel.
“Progress MC-24 took the ISS away from a collision with space debris,” the report says.
It is noted that the ship's engines were turned on at 18:07 Moscow time. They worked for 316.5 seconds, due to which the altitude of the ISS orbit increased by 900 meters.
“Orbital parameters after correction: minimum altitude 419.1 km; maximum 436.1 km,” Roscosmos clarified.
On the night of November 10, a planned correction of the ISS orbit was carried out before the arrival of the new Progress MC-25 truck (the flight is expected on December 1). It was also carried out using Progress MC-24 engines.
