The temperatures on Friday, July 14, 2023 with the so-called heat wave "Kleon" (Κλέων) reached up to 43°C (109.4 Fahrenheit) while all of southern Europe began to feel this week a relentless heat wave, with warnings that temperatures could hit all- time highs next week, which raises fears of a dramatic impact on human health, crops and animals.
Italy, Spain, France, Germany and Poland are facing a major heat wave, with temperatures expected to reach 48°C on the islands of Sicily and Sardinia, potentially the highest temperatures ever recorded in Europe.
Italian Meteorological Society baptized the heat wave as “Cerberus” (Kerveros, Κέρβερος)
