The death toll from the earthquake in Paktika province in eastern Afghanistan has risen to 255, with at least 150 injured. This was reported on Wednesday, June 22, on the Qatari TV channel Al Jazeera, citing a source in the government.
Earlier it was reported about 50 dead and 65 injured.
The earthquake happened on the night of June 21-22. The epicenter of the tremors was located 44 km southwest of the city of Khost. At night, the magnitude was estimated at 6.1
