Storm, Flooding Disrupt Traffic in Athens

Storms battered Athens, Thursday, October 14, causing flooding and traffic disruption around the city.

The government issued push alerts to cell phones urging people to avoid going outside to areas affected by the floods.

Several areas on the island of Evia ravaged by summer wildfires were evacuated following the second severe storm in less than a week.

The weather there is not expected to improve until Saturday. (AP)
