Guatemala volcano’s activity threatens villages and wreaks havoc on local economy

 The Pacaya volcano, located south of Guatemala City, causes fires as its eruption activity continues. 

It’s been estimated that more than 600 hectares of coffee and avocado fields have so far been destroyed, affecting at least 1,300 families.
