Un terremoto de 6,5 se ha registrado este lunes en Botsuana, informa el portal USGS. El epicentro del sismo se registró a unos 131 kilómetros al norte de Moijabana a una profundidad de 10 kilómetros.
De momento no hay datos sobre posibles víctimas o daños materiales.
Alrededor de 13.000 personas viven a menos de 100 kilómetros del lugar donde se produjo el terremoto.
El terremoto se registró a 238 kilómetros al norte de Gaborone, la capital del país africano, con una población de unas 210.000 personas.

The earthquake measured 6,5 on the Richter scale – a rare strong quake for Africa.
Strong tremors were also felt in Harare and Bulawayo, the capital and second city of Zimbabwe, as well as in South Africa’s Gauteng region.
It is unknown whether much damage has been caused by the quake, which occurred at around 5.40pm local time (6.40pm GMT) at a depth of around 35km.
Luckily the quake’s epicentre struck an area with few inhabitants.
