The threat of a tsunami declared after powerful earthquake 6.8 hits Philippines

Near the coast of the Philippines earthquake of a magnitude of 7.2 points, reports Reuters.

Seismologists of the country advise people to stay away from coastal areas, but do not expect serious damage.

Pacific control center for tsunami warned of a risk of large waves in a radius of 300 km from the earthquake epicenter. And employees of the Institute of Volcanology and seismology of the Philippines on the contrary said that there is no tsunami threat.
