6.5 magnitude earthquake recorded off Indonesia’s Sumatra (Depth 65 km, local time: 05:56)

A 6.5-magnitude earthquake has been registered off Indonesia’s Sumatra island, US Geological Survey said on Thursday.

The epicenter of the earthquake lay in 91 kilometers to the west from the city of Sungai Penuh in Jambi province at the depth of 51 kilometers.

No injuries or damages have been reported so far.
