Second stage of ExoMars project postponed to 2020 — Roscosmos

The second stage of ExoMars, a joint project of Russia’s Roscosmos State Corporation and the European Space Agency (ESA), has been postponed from 2018 to 2020, the corporation has said.

"Evaluating the possibility of creating conditions for the successful implementation of the project, the (Joint ExoMars Steeering Board) JESB has concluded that in view of delays in carrying out the work by European and Russian contractors and during mutual supplies of scientific instruments, the best decision would be to launch (the ExoMars mission - TASS) in 2020," the statement said.
