The value of the EEZ ( and the ideology of the void)

The value of the EEZ became a perceivable fact only in Cyprus. Whereas in Greece, there are still politicians, and an entire government at that, who are unaware of how to go about even copying the Cypriot model.


Though there's not even a need to understand it as such, in order to discover its benefits.
But now, as it appears in the case of Greece what's required is actual revelation .

The ideology of the void, as well as dogmatism and sheer incompetence, don't allow for the occurrence of a discovery from within.

• All surrounding countries utilize their EEZ, and effectively at that.

The recent developments following the revolution caused by the discovery of the hypergigantic Zohr reserve, have changed the whole research prosedure in regards to the hydrocarbon sector, and especially in the Eastern Mediterranean region.

But as we can see, we haven't yet moved on towards the large licensing round, while we only have three companies which are candidates, and those in a non-competitive manner, regarding marine plots 1, 2 and 10.
Whereas on the other hand, Cyprus managed to organize a third licensing round, which will reach completion prior, since Greece was given another extension, due to incompetence and lack of will.

We likewise delay matters in the EEZ demarcation field, even though we have concrete examples through the Cypriot case, who signed an agreement with Egypt in 2003, with Lebanon in 2007, and with Israel in 2010.
The Greek EEZ has a value regardless of whoever is in government, but you must be competent enough to comprehend it, even though everyone else is indicating the fact to you in the most direct manner.
