Neither Russia nor the European Union have plans to revive the South Stream project, Russia’s EU ambassador said in an interview with the Izvestia daily.
"I said (in previous interviews) that demands of Europe, the European Union in particular, for Russian energy supplies, gas among them, can objectively promote discussion of different projects, including the South Stream," Vladimir Chizhov said.
"But at the moment, the South Stream is closed and neither we nor the European Union, as far as I understand, have any concrete plans to revive it in its former shape," the permanent representative to the EU said.
