Let’s do it Cyprus collects 23,000 kg of rubbish

A total of 9,442 of volunteers collected 22,848 kg of rubbish including 2,950 of recyclables in the context of the annual campaign “Let`s do it Cyprus!”.

“Let`s do it Cyprus!” is part of the international cleaning campaign “Let`s do it World!” which aims to rid natural areas from rubbish, a press release from the Environment Commissioner Ioanna Panayiotou`s office says.

The first time the campaign took place in Cyprus was in September 2012 with the participation of 4,000 volunteers. 


The second time the campaign attracted 9,717 volunteers.

The Commissioner`s office thanks everyone who worked on the campaign “the success of which was based on volunteering and everyone`s love for the environment and Cyprus.”
